Cloud Cost & Reliability Reviews - Ampity Intelligence

Cloud cost and reliability are the same problem. We help teams see the system, not just the bill, by understanding cost drivers and failure modes together.

Cost and reliability are structurally coupled. Optimization requires understanding both.

Most teams try to optimize cloud cost in isolation.

Most reliability incidents are treated as operational failures.

In reality, both are symptoms of earlier architectural decisions.

We help teams see the system, not just the bill.

Why cloud costs keep rising

Rising cloud costs are rarely caused by usage alone.

They usually come from:

Cost is a structural outcome.

Why reliability is always part of the problem

Systems become expensive when reliability is uncertain.

Teams respond by:

Reliability issues increase cost.

Cost pressure increases risk.

The two cannot be separated.

How we evaluate cost and reliability together

We look at systems through a combined lens:

Optimization starts with understanding behavior, not cutting resources.

Common failure patterns we see

We repeatedly see the same patterns:

None of these are wrong individually.

Together, they create fragility.

Cost & reliability system view

Understanding how failures propagate and where cost concentrates before making optimization decisions.

What good decisions enable

When cost and reliability are addressed together:

Good decisions reduce both outages and invoices.

When this work is needed

Cloud cost & reliability reviews are critical when:

Optimization without understanding is just guesswork.

Ampity-built product

Automate the idle hours you can predict.

Park Your Cloud schedules idle non-production resources across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. It is useful when waste follows known working hours. Architecture, commitments, data movement, and production demand still need workload-level analysis.

Cloud cost is not a finance problem.

Reliability is not an ops problem.

They are system problems.

Frequently asked questions

How is a cloud cost assessment different from optimization delivery?

An assessment diagnoses spend, attributes likely causes and produces a prioritized decision record. Optimization delivery implements approved changes and measures their results. Agree which of these is in scope so a recommendation is not mistaken for verified savings.

Can a cloud cost assessment use read-only access?

A diagnostic review can begin with read-only billing, inventory and monitoring information. The required access depends on the agreed systems. Implementation permissions should be a separate decision and should not be implied by access to billing data.

What is the difference between cloud spend and cloud unit cost?

Spend is the total bill. Unit cost relates that bill to a meaningful activity, such as an order, transaction or active customer. Unit cost helps distinguish inefficient architecture from a bill that increased because the business served more demand.

Are forecast savings guaranteed?

No. An estimate depends on workload, prices, commitments and implementation assumptions. Record those assumptions, then measure the accepted change against an agreed baseline. Keep identified opportunities, implemented changes and realized savings separate.
